Farm Life

Charlotte’s Web: Farm Life

The setting of Charlottes’ Web is a farm. Let’s learn more about farms and the animals that live there.

I. What is a farm?

A farm is a place in the country. Some of the farms are small and some are very large. Most farms have a farm house where the farmer and his family live.

They have a barn for some of the animals. A large part of the farm is used for pastures for the farm animal to graze.

Many years ago most farms were small. They provided enough food for the farmer and his family. Today many farms are large.

They produce food for people all over the world. Farmers grow crops and raise animals to sell to markets. The food is sold from the markets to grocery stores.

·         Watch the video below about a little boys trip to the farm.

·         Name 3 things that you saw in the video.
